Indian cuisine reflects a 5000-year history of various groups and cultures interacting with the subcontinent, leading to diversity of flavors and regional cuisines found in modern-day India. Indian cuisine involves the use of herbs and spices. The skill of using Indian spices comes not only with knowing what spices to use, but how to use them. Spices enhance flavor and add that “zing” to the food. There is a popular misconception that Indian cuisine is ‘Spicy’, whereas in reality, Indian cuisine is spice-full, with the use of spices to enhance taste.
